Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons blackberry-mint puree
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon (1 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 fresh mint sprig

Steps

    In blender, place blackberry-mint puree, bourbon, sugar and ice. Cover; blend on high speed until smooth. Pour into highball or lowball glass. Garnish with mint.

  • tip 1
    To make about 1 1/4 cups blackberry-mint puree, place 1 pint fresh or frozen (thawed) blackberries and 1/2 cup packed fresh mint leaves in a blender. Cover; blend on high speed until pureed. Strain to remove seeds. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.

    Honey or agave nectar can be substituted for sugar.
