Ingredients

2
medium pears, peeled, sliced
1
teaspoon lemon juice
1
tablespoon dried cranberries
1
tablespoon packed brown sugar
1
tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
4
gingersnap cookies, crushed

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 1-quart casserole with cooking spray. Place pears in casserole; sprinkle with lemon juice.
  • 2 In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle over pears.
  • 3 Cover; bake 30 to 40 minutes or until pears are tender.

Expert Tips

Using on-hand cookies is an easy way to make a crisp. The stronger flavor of the gingersnaps is a nice complement to the mild pears.
