Chicken breasts are not often recommended for use in slow cooker recipes because they tend to dry out and become stringy. That's not the case with this recipe. The chicken breasts stay moist because they are smothered with creamy sauce and cook just 4 to 5 hours.
If baby portabella mushrooms aren't readily available, sliced button mushrooms will also work in this delicious dish.
