Caesar salad dressing and mozzarella add robust flavor to French bread. Have it ready with three ingredients and 15 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 loaf (8 ounces) French bread, cut horizontally in half
  • 1/4 cup creamy Caesar dressing
  • 8 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese

Steps

    Heat oven to 450°. Place bread on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Spread dressing on cut sides of bread. Top with cheese.

    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges begin to brown. Cut into slices. Serve immediately.

    "Lite" creamy Caesar dressing will reduce the fat but not the flavor in this recipe. Also try all-skim mozzarella cheese to reduce the fat and calories even more.

    A quick way to add a boost of flavor and color is to sprinkle the hot cheese with chopped fresh basil or parsley just before serving.
