Bourbon Brownie Bites with Dulce de Leche

Brownie

1: box Betty Crocker® Supreme triple chunk brownie mix

1/4: cup vegetable oil

1/4: cup bourbon

1: egg

Dulce de Leche

1: can (13.4 oz) dulce de leche (caramelized sweetened condensed milk)

: Coarse (kosher or sea) salt

Save $$$ on your favorite brands

1 Heat oven to 350°F. Place mini paper baking cup in each of 36 mini muffin cups. In medium bowl, stir Brownie ingredients until well blended. Fill muffin cups about three-fourths full of batter.
2 Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until toothpick inserted in edge of brownie bite comes out clean. Do not overbake. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
3 Top each brownie with dollop of dulce de leche; sprinkle with salt.

re questions; easiest to buy Dulce de Leche - caramelized sweetened condensed milk - (in Spanish, "Cajeta"); sold by Eagle Brand, Nestle, Williams Sonoma. www.wikihow.com has the directions for several methods. Takes about 1- 1&1/2 hrs in an oven. Caramel ice cream topping may serve as a good substitute.
