Ingredients

egg whites
1/4
teaspoon cream of tartar
2/3
cups sugar
1
cup chopped nuts (optional)
1
cup chocolate morsels
1
teaspoon vanilla extract
1
pinch salt

  • 1 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites, until creamy. Add salt and cream of tartar. Use an electric mixer to beat mixture until stiff.
  • 2 2. Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, nuts and chocolate chips.
  • 3 3. Drop by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil. Put in oven and TURN OVEN OFF IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPEN OVEN for at least 8 hours.
