Auntie Tiny's Easy 90 Minute Meatloaf

This is a very easy and flavorful meatloaf. A variation on an old favourite. Always a success and leftovers make great sandwiches!

Ingredients

Meatloaf:

large eggs
3/4
cup milk
1/2
cup Italian style bread crumbs
1/2
cup parmesan cheese
1/4
cup diced bell pepper
1
envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
2
pounds lean ground angus beef
Topping:
1/3
cup ketchup
1/3
cup mustard
2
tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare a 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  • 2 Whisk eggs and milk together in an extra large bowl until smooth.
  • 3 Add bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, diced bell pepper, and Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix. Stir until saturated.
  • 4 Let stand for 5 minutes to allow dry ingredients to absorb moisture and soften.
  • 5 Stir mixture 10 to 15 strokes.
  • 6 Add ground beef and knead until thoroughly blended.
  • 7 Shape into loaf in prepared 13x9 inch baking dish and bake at 350° for one hour.
  • 8 Prepare topping by combining Ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar in small bowl. Stir until well blended.
  • 9 When meatloaf is done, brush topping on top of the loaf and continue baking at 350° for 5 minutes.
  • 10 Remove meatloaf from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

I now have a GREAT new Meatloaf recipe! I did add 1/2 pound of ground turkey and ground pork to the hamburger. Otherthan that, I followed the directions. The mustard, ketchup and brown sugar recipe makes it absolutley delicious!!
