"These are easy to make and the texture is very pleasing but I found them lacking flavor. Especially the caramel layer is not caramelly enough for me . I'll try the brown sugar cashew bars next in hopes of more flavor"

"So easy to prepare and so good. I've tried a lot of fresh apple cakes lately and this is my favorite so far. Most other recipes also use more oil - up to 2 c - making them greasy and unnecessarily high in calories, while this one is the perfect cake to use all those wonderful fall apples. This is my go-to recipe now!"

"These are just sooooo good and easy. I've made them with various fruit and homemade cream cheese and jam, they never fail to please with the oats giving them extra flavor."

"I wasn't so impressed with this cake. I wanted to love it because I love maple but the flavor wasn't very pronounced. Also the streusel sank to the bottom of the cake, forming a (delicious) sticky layer with a rather dry cake on top. So I'm further looking for a good maple cake."
