"This was good, but I did increase the cinnamon, used brown sugar and used my bread machine only on the dough cycle, then formed and let the second rise happen in a 81/2 by 41/4 " pan. As cinnamon can be a yeast retardant, it took the second rise about two 1/2 hours to get 1 1/2 " above the rim of the pan. Thanks! "

"Cute picture, but it ends up looking nothing like it. I followed the directions to a T, but my colors were nowhere near as bright. I even added a bit more color than called for. Too much frosting, and the stars you have to press on individual slices after baking. Really, a bad recipe. :("

"I had trouble with this recipe, too. I'm not sure why this doesn't work. They tend to fall apart, and I ran out of the butter and the cinnamonsugar so I had to make more, I left them in the oven(turned off) foran hour, and they came out better. Maybe decreasing the oven temp. and baking longer would help."

"This is a great recipe! I cut it in half to make only one, and misread the yeast amount. Instead of 1 packet of yeast, I used 1 teaspoon. I realized my mistake during kneading, but made it anyway to see how it turned out. It was perfect! Nice and light."

"These were very good, moist and chewey! I will make them again but leave out the cherries.They are expensive and add nothing to the bars. I love dried cherries, but the flavor changed, somehow."
