"What are the directions for actually preparing this as a dish? I only see the instructions for the bulk dry mix. How much liquid, how much mix, cooked for how long? "

"This was really good! My Southerner hubby loved it. Very filling, and flavorful as well! I was a little unsure about putting rice and cabbage in the mixture, but it all cooked together nicely. This is going into the permanent rotation!"

"DH and I both loved this! Very moist with lots of flavor. I used pepper jack cheese and omitted the green chiles, sprinkling a small portion of the pj cheese over the meat mixture (before adding the bisquick topping) and reserving the rest of the cheese for the last 8 minutes. Definitely a keeper!"

"So simple but so good! I made a slightly larger batch by using a 12 oz. jar of roasted peppers, 12 oz. of evaporated milk, 1 lb. of sausage, and 1 1/2 tsp. of seasoning (plus a few shakes of cumin). Makes a very flavorful sauce with just a few simple ingredients - everyone loved it!"

"Very easy to make, and my husband loved it! I added 2 T. sugar to the cornbread mixture (we prefer sweeter, "Northern"-style cornbread). Topped finished product with sour cream and salsa, served a salad on the side: all-in-all a very tasty meal!"
