Say “I love you” to your sweeties with these colorful and easy chocolate heart cakes.
I am baking Mini Raspberry-Chocolate Heart Cakes this Valentine’s Day for the special people in my life. Covered in white chocolate and sprinkles, the heart-shaped treats will bring smiles to the faces of those you love.
These cute little cakes are easy to make using Betty Crocker® Super Moist® Milk Chocolate Cake mix as a base. I also stir in a bit of instant espresso powder and raspberry preserves.
Pour the batter into heart-shaped cake pans.
When they have baked and cooled, it is time to decorate. Chop up the white chocolate and melt in a saucepan along with shortening.
Spoon the white chocolate over the cakes and then decorate with sprinkles. There are so many fun sprinkles on the market that would be cute on these cakes. This is the part the kids love to help with!
Let the chocolate dry before packaging or serving. Everyone will love 'em!
