There are lots of items on our wish list for 2012, here are just a few to add color and efficiency in our kitchen.
Rice Cooker / Slow Cooker
Friends of ours have been raving about their rice cooker for months, we think it’s about time we get one! We are looking for one that can double as a slow cooker; there is no need for two appliances when you can use one for both functions.

Oven Guards
It seems like our oven is always on and Joanne always manages to burn the top of her hand from accidentally touching the hot oven racks, maybe some oven guards are in order?
Slate Cheese Board
We have wanted a slate cheese board for a while now. We love that you could use chalk to write the name of each cheese directly onto the slate.
Seasoned Cast Iron Pan
We have a large cast iron pan already in our kitchen and would love another. They are perfect for searing a steak, one of Adam’s favorites!
Pizza Stone
We love to buy Pillsbury refrigerated pizza dough for an easy dinner at home. A pizza stone would be perfect to get the base evenly cooked and crispy.
Digital Scale
Accuracy is so important in the kitchen, a digital scale would be perfect!
Oven Safe Braising Pan
We love one-pot meals. A large oven-safe pot would be great for us, especially one with a lid.
Phone/MP3 Player Sound Dock
We don’t step foot in our kitchen without some music streaming through our speakers, a simple docking station that plays the music on our phone would be perfect to add to the kitchen.
Pretty New Kitchen Towels
We go through kitchen towels quicker than most, some bright new towels are in order. We loved how pretty these were; perfect to brighten up our kitchen.
Pod Coffee Maker
If there is one thing we hate, it’s cleaning up. Adding a pod-style coffee maker to our kitchen would be perfect, less clean up and we can have a single serving of coffee anytime.
Mandoline
Sometimes getting the perfect slice or cut can be time consuming, a mandoline would help us get through our prep work quickly and efficiently.
Food Mill
For months, Joanne has wanted a food mill for soups, jams, applesauce and veggies like mashed potatoes. Seems like a perfect addition, to us.
