Juniper Berries
The purple fruit of an evergreen that grows wild, juniper berries start out green and then ripen to violet. Juniper bushes are common in the North American wilds as well as along the southern Alpine slopes and in Scandinavia. The berries perfume gin, sauerkraut and game dishes.
