Dietary Fiber
Fiber is roughage. It’s the skins, seeds and hulls found in plant foods, such as fruits, vegetables and grains. Often described as those food elements not broken down or absorbed by the human digestive tract. Fiber is a complex carbohydrate, based on its chemical structure. Fiber can be divided into two types, soluble and insoluble fiber.
