Pot Holders
Small pads used to handle hot dishes. They come in a variety of shapes and designs. Oven mitts (that look like big padded mittens) are especially protective when reaching into an oven.
HOW TO BUY
Look for pot holders that are thick enough so you don't get burned when handling hot dishes but thin enough so you can easily grasp lid handles. They should be made of cotton or other fabric or fiber that does not flame or melt when it touches very hot surfaces. Sizes of oven mitts vary, so for the best fit, try them on before buying. For grilling or heat sensitivity, buy oven mitts with a long arm section.
