  Flatware (Tableware)

This term describes the everyday knives, forks and spoons used for eating. There are at least 3 pieces per place setting: knife, dinner fork and teaspoon. Other place setting pieces that are available include salad/dessert fork (smaller than a dinner fork), soup spoon or tablespoon (larger than a teaspoon), butter knives and iced tea spoons.

Tips

Teaspoons and tablespoons are often used for scooping cookie dough. A table fork is handy to use for mixing.
