Up, Up and Away Activities
- Make kites that kids can fly. Check out your local library, bookstore or the Internet for easy patterns. Videos may also be available at libraries.
Go out and fly the kites. Enlist a couple of parents (hopefully ones with kite experience) to help get the kites off the ground. Have a few inexpensive kites available to replace ones that bite the dust.
- In case of rain, have a backup plan such as a video about kite flying, or have a backup game such as "pin the kite string on the kite."
