These cake push-ups give a new twist to cupcakes and add some fun to your next party or after-school event.
When I was a little girl, orange sherbet novelties were a favorite summer treat. I loved to slowly push the ice cream up bit by bit until, sadly, I’d hit the bottom. Now someone has discovered cake push-ups that put little mini cupcakes in a push-up holder! My niece and her friend loved them…I like that the treats are super easy to make.

I took a Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® Spice Cake Mix and added chopped apples to the batter.

Bake in mini muffin tins and then let cool.

To make the sauce, I melted caramel with a few tablespoons of cream and 1 teaspoon of sea salt.

For the frosting, I used Betty Crocker® Rich and Creamy frosting.

Place one muffin in the tube and push down to the bottom. Drizzle with caramel and top with frosting. Repeat, finishing with frosting.
Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top if you like.
