Grease

grease

Tips for using grease when cooking.

Rub the bottom and sides of a pan with shortening, using pastry brush, waxed paper or paper towel, to prevent food from sticking during baking, as for muffins and some casseroles. Also may use cooking spray. Butter and margarine usually contain salt and may cause hot foods to stick, so they should not be used for greasing unless specified in a recipe.
