Spooky Halloween Piña Colada

tablespoons light corn syrup
drops red food color
pouch (10 oz) frozen piña colada (with alcohol)

    Pour corn syrup into small shallow dish. Add food color; mix with toothpick until combined. Dip rim of cocktail glass in mixture, gently turning to create “bloody” rim. Repeat with second glass.

    Cut top off pouch; pour piña colada into glasses. Serve immediately.



Expert Tips

  • Look for the premixed piña colada pouches in the wine and beer section of the grocery store or big-box store, or already frozen in the freezer section. If desired, take the pouch out of the freezer for a few minutes before serving so it’s a little more slushy.
  • Make a spooky margarita by substituting a pouch of frozen margarita for the piña colada mix.
