Ingredients

  • 2 soft breadsticks or bagel sticks
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce

Chef's Choice

  • 10 thin slices pepperoni
  • 1 stick string cheese

Steps

  • 1
Place the breadsticks on their sides on the cutting board. Cut each breadstick lengthwise almost in half (not all the way through), using the sharp knife. Open breadsticks (the top and bottom halves should still be connected on one long side).
  • 2
Spread half (1 tablespoon) of the pizza sauce on the inside of each breadstick, using the table knife.
  • 3
Put 5 slices of pepperoni (or half of the green olives or half of the chicken) on the bottom half of each breadstick. Overlap the pepperoni slices so they fit.
  • 4
Tear the string cheese in half. Put half on one breadstick and the other half on the other breadstick.
  • 5
Close breadsticks. Put breadsticks on the microwavable plate and cover with the microwavable paper towel. Microwave breadsticks on High for 15 to 45 seconds or until warm. Use the pot holders to take plate out of microwave.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
One tablespoon of green olives or 4 small slices cooked chicken, cut into strips can be substituted for the pepperoni.
