More About This Recipe
  • If you think there is only one type of Chex mix, you are so very wrong.

Come summer's end, party-goers may be tiring of the usual festive fare, as chips and dip can only take your tastebuds so far. Luckily, we've got tons of unique recipes for Chex Mix – whether you like it spicy, sweet or somewhere in between.

If you think there is only one type of Chex mix, you are so very wrong. Here are our top 10 fave Chex Mix recipes:

    1. Lemonade Chex Mix

This recipe is light, crunchy, sweet and buttery all at the same time. Oh, and did we mention it includes zesty lemonade mix for a bright, citrusy kick? For a tasty juxtaposition of flavors, serve it alongside a savory or spicy mix like…

    2. Sriracha Chex Mix

This nutty, Asian party mix complements the flavors of this recipe quite nicely. Hot sriracha – which is a type of hot sauce – is mellowed out a bit by butter, garlic, ginger and soy. Also, this one has crunchy chow mein noodles, peanuts and wasabi peas, which make it a hearty mix.

    3. Rainbow Chex Mix

We're pretty much all about rainbow foods around these parts, as evidenced by this particular mix. This is a pretty candy-centric mix, so serve it to your peeps who have a hardcore sweet tooth. The process of making this mix is pretty fun, too, so you could even let your guests get in on the fun time.

    4. Summer Herb Chex Mix

If you've got an overgrown herb garden, now is the time to harvest your goods and make this awesome-sauce party mix. It's got your usual Chex Mix snacks boosted with butter, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and tons of summer herbs.

    5. Cheese Head Chex Mix

Football season is just around the corner, and it doesn't even matter if you root for Green Bay, because this mix is a flavor-packed touchdown. This snack is amped up with chunks of salami and cheddar for a Chex Mix fit for a linebacker.

    6. Deviled Chex Mix

Spice-haters need not apply here. This recipe is laced with paprika, chili powder, cumin, coriander and pepper for a mix that's anything but bo-ring. Plus, it's much better suited for a party than deviled eggs, 'cause it won't get all smelly and gross after 30 minutes.

    7. Salt and Vinegar Chex Mix

Cheerio, love! This decidedly British party snack includes salt-and-vinegar potato chips and Worcestershire sauce for a tangy, savory, salty blend. Serve it up with a nice Pimm's and soda, sit back, keep calm and carry on.

    8. Roasted Sesame and Honey Chex Mix

You know those amazing little sesame sticks that come in Asian party mixes? Love 'em, right? So do we, and that's part of the reason we enjoy this recipe, because it's got those plus sesame seeds, honey and mixed nuts for a salty, sweet, nutty amalgam.

    9. Kentucky Bourbon Bacon Chex Mix

Bourbon + Bacon + Pecans + Chex Mix = AHH-mazing. (See, math can be fun!) We don't know what else to say about this mix other than you'll love it, and that it goes great with just about any bourbon cocktail you can think up.

    10. Sweet and Salty Toffee Chex Mix

Last, but certainly not least, we present to you the sweet, salty, popcorn- and candy-studded party mix. It's got it all, and will totes make your next shindig a memorable one because of its delightful addictiveness.
