Grown-Up PB & J Sandwich

Ingredients

tablespoon butter, softened
2
slices sandwich bread
2
tablespoons peanut butter
2
tablespoons strawberry jam
2
large strawberries, sliced
1
tablespoon peanuts, chopped

    Heat panini press.
  • 2
    Spread butter on 1 side of bread slices. Turn over. Spread peanut butter on other side of 1 slice of bread and jam on other slice of bread.

    Top 1 slice of bread with strawberries and peanuts. Top with other slice of bread, buttered sides facing out.

    Cook on panini press as directed by the manufacturer

Expert Tips

  • Don’t have a panini press? Make this sandwich in a skillet, and use a heavy pan to hold it down. Flip over after the first side has browned, then cook until the second half is browned.
  • Don’t limit yourself to strawberry--use your favorite kind of fruit and jam!
