Give this side dish the green light! In 15 minutes, you turn plain green beans to fabulous green beans, with a little garlic for flavor and a dash of red pepper for zip.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen cut green beans
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Dash crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted, if desired

    Cook and drain green beans as directed on bag for stove-top directions.
  • 2
    Stir in remaining ingredients except almonds. Cook over low heat 1 to 2 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle with almonds.
