Easy Peanut Butter Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    Beat butter in medium bowl on medium speed until fluffy. Beat in peanut butter, 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar, the milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in remaining 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, beating after each addition until smooth. Generously frosts a 13x9-inch cake.

  • To soften butter, cut in small pieces and leave at room temperature. A faster method is to microwave butter in 5-second intervals, turning the butter frequently so butter is softened but not melted.
  • Try crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy for extra crunch!
  • Be sure to scrape side of bowl occasionally while mixing so all ingredients get incorporated.
