Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1/3 cup shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil

Steps

    Heat oven to 450°. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and mustard in medium bowl. Stir in onions and cheese.

    Mix buttermilk and oil; stir into flour mixture until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 8 spoonfuls onto cookie sheet.

    Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
