Camembert cheese is a round French cheese covered with a soft, white edible rind. When ripe, this smooth, fragrant cheese oozes slightly.
Prepare the onion mixture up to one day in advance; cover and refrigerate it. Just before serving, briefly reheat the onion mixture in the microwave and spoon it over the cheese.
Garnish this baked Camembert with sprigs of fresh marjoram.
