<B>To Boil:</B> Heat 1 inch water(salted if desired) to boiling in saucepan. Add carrots. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Boil gently--whole carrots 25 minutes, julienne strips 18 to 20 minutes, slices 12 to 15 minutes, shredded 5 minutes for 1 pound carrots--or until tender; drain.
<P><B>To Microwave:</B> Place julienne strips or slices in microwavable continer with water(1/4 cup per 1 pound carrots). Cover and microwave on High 6 to 8 minutes for 1 pound or until tender.</P>
