Bacon-Wrapped Filets

Ingredients

  • 2 bacon-wrapped beef filet mignons (5 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper

Steps

    Place cast-iron skillet on campfire grate. Season filets with salt and pepper.

    When skillet is hot, add filets. Cook about 4 minutes on each side for medium doneness, turning once.

    Let filets rest 5 minutes before slicing.

  • Bacon is typically salty, so be sure to only lightly salt filets.
  • Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
