My daughter is at the age where she wants to help with everything in the kitchen. I try to get her involved as much as possible, but she is still too young for some things. But there are several tasks she can easily help with, especially dumping ingredients, turning on the mixer and rolling dough into balls. That is why cookies are a great kid-friendly baking project! This recipe is not your normal chocolate chip cookie recipe. It’s made a little easier by using Bisquick Heart Smart® mix. This shortcut helps to bring the cookies together in no time at all. And your little helpers will love to help make them. You will need Bisquick Heart Smart® mix, an egg, softened butter, vanilla, brown sugar and chocolate chips. In a stand mixer, have your helper add the butter and brown sugar. Beat until it is light and fluffy. Add in the egg; mix well. Stir in the vanilla. Slowly add the baking mix, and mix just until combined. Add the chocolate chips; mix to distribute evenly. Roll the dough into balls, about 1 tablespoon of dough each. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown and set on the edges. How easy is that?
