In ?? 1958...I was on USS MIDWAY. I went ashore in Okinawa with several MARINES who had been in the KOREAN WAR... They wanted to dig up an area where they had buried food rations when they left the area.. In the mess -- were cases ..of BEER. It was in cans..in waxed cardboard boxes. We opened and drank the beer..that had been buried from 1953 to 1958 - on a HOT sandy Beach..about 100 yards from the Ocean... WAS STILL GOOD..!!!!Did NOT smell bad at all...

I have what is effectively a boycott on beer in green bottles. It may have been a fine beer at once point. Now it's not and it's a shame. The skunking of these beers was preventable. And the misinformed public who wants their imports "color coded" should be reeducated. Life is too short to drink bad beer.
