Lemon Layer Strawberry Shortcake
Here is a simple twist on strawberry shortcake that makes it elegant enough to serve at your next dinner party but still comforting for any family meal.

Follow these simple steps for an elegant, but easy, summertime dessert!
Make and bake shortcake batter in a cake pan. When cool, slice in half horizontally.

Use purchased lemon curd for the filling; spread over bottom shortcake layer. |

Layer sliced strawberries over the lemon curd. |
 |
Place top layer of shortcake over strawberries. |

Spoon remaining berries over top of shortcake. |

Garnish with whipped cream. |
