Watercress, a member of the mustard family, has small, crisp, dark green, coin-size leaves and a strong peppery flavor.
Choose crisp, dark green leaves with no wilting or yellowing.
Refrigerate in a plastic bag up to 5 days. Wash and shake dry just before using.
