Here's another baking classic that belongs in everyone's recipe box. A clove-scented homemade frosting makes a good thing even better!

OMG! These were so good. It made an 8x8 dish and it was gone in one day by 3 people. It reminded me of a spice or apple cake it make. Totally different taste than the usual zucchini bread recipes. I could see maybe adding baking raisins next time

I added an extra egg and 1/4c oil, then reduced the cooking time to 20min. To make it "adult" I soaked 1c of raisins in rum and also added it to the batter. I doubled the icing and the bars turned out FANTASTIC and SUPER MOIST!

I was dissappointed with the recipe as the bars were dry and I baked them 5 minutes less than called for. The frosting was not enough, so I had to double it to make it stretch across the bars. Did anyone else have this problem?

I added 3/4 of a can of pumpkin, two table spoons more flour and cinnamon...the bars turned out great. For the frosting I also added cinnamon....yum yum yum!

Cake was ok. Not Bad but not great . I cooked it for 5 min less then recommend. Was very dry. My 2 yr old son loves anything sweet like any other child. He would not touch it.

I made these in my square muffin tin & they turned out great. I just baked them for 10 minutes less.

This is a great snack for when you get a call that some people are coming over, and you want something quick to bake and serve that is fresh. One point of contention, that it serves 24....realistically, those would be the tiniest little bars ever, I wouldn't and didn't cut them that small, would be laughed out of the house!!

So easy to make. I have never made anything all the way from scratch or with zucchini but this was easy and so good. My son and husband gobbeled it right up. The frosting took a little more milk and the bars took a little longer to get done but it was awesome!!
