This is the first bean burger I've made that hasn't fallen apart or been a sticky mess! Made homemade guacamole with them and they were delicious!

This is one of my favorite vegetarian burger recipes to make. I don't like spicy so I omit the jalapenos but I do use Italian flavored breadcrumbs and extra green onions. Plus I use lettuce, onion, and tomato as toppers.

I'd put these burgers up against any cheeseburger. They won't win because let's face it, a big beefy burger smothered in cheese is unbelievable, but these white bean burges would come in a strong second. Top the burgers with bubbling monterey jack cheese, chunky salsa, and some cool guacamole and you won't believe you're eating vegetarian and low-cal.

We were pleasantly surprised by this recipe - it was quite tasty. The recipe, as written, is a little bland, but there's plenty of room to spice it up in whatever way we'd like. We used pepper jack cheese rather than plain monterey jack, which is a must. Be sure to drain the beans before using.

This recipe is a great base for veggie burgers! I substituted mixed bell peppers and sautéed mushrooms for the chilis and my kids LOVED it!

OK, so I ventured out of the "BOX" tonight and I was plesantly suprised. The hubby was insistant on them being either turkey or chicken burgers. I used seasoned bread crumbs instead of the plain, as I like that flavor much better. I also used the sliced provolone and sharp cheddar cheeses instead of the montery jack (I could not find it). Oh, and I skipped the lettuce, too~ I will be keeping this recipe. Thanks Betty!!

I made these once and thought that they were as boring as anything I''ve tastes. Since then, I have changed some things up about them. I have made them and added oregano, and italian seasoning and topped it with fresh basil, mozarella cheese and used pasta sauce in lieu of the salsa and served it on toasted italian bread. That was really tasty. I also made it by adding garlic and tarragon, served it with tadziki, a little bit of hummus, feta cheese and inside of a pita. That was good as well.

The recipe was very easy and fast. However, I felt like it was lacking in the flavor department. Maybe with a little more spice of some kind and no bun they would be ok.
