I made this one along with the more "traditional" waldorf salad. My family loved them both. They both are very different but have their place and time when they perfactly compliment the dinner or party. This one here works for both winter and summer.

This is a fabulous salad! I made this for a church potluck and I didn't even get to sample it! The only thing I did to "tweak" the recipe was that I used the entire 6oz container of organge creme yogurt and I added dried cranberries because my family loves them. Very easy to make and extremely tasty.

I don't know why anyone needs to be snippy especially since they obviously didn't try the salad. I am referring to the last review. I'm happy I payed their opinion no attention what-so-ever because the salad was delightful. Also if they were to have comprehended what the the recipes reads it is A FRUIT WALDORF SALAD miles different than the traditional "PLAIN WALDROF SALAD" Plus I would be so lucky to have all of these goodies as a sign to clean out the refer. YUM! P.S. NO this was not my recipe!

Waldorf salad is "best" made by using similar ingredients but leaving out the following orange creme yogurt, pears, orange juice, raisins, dates, and shredded lettuce. This sounds more like recipe for a horse or a very hungry goat as written. I will stick with the more original and tradional Waldorf salad my families favorite and has been for many years. It realy sounds like the person or persons who came up with this "concoction" evidently could'nt figure out if the were making a salad, fruit punch or cleaning out their refriderator. Mr Food your not.

Fabulous flavor! Type of salad you would gladly serve guests as well as family. Also low in carbs for diabetic or weight concious people. Definately a keeper.

I made this salad on Thanksgiving to take to a potluck. It was absoulutely delicious!!! The only thing I did different was add Pecans, and instead of adding the orange juice concentrate to the dressing, I soaked the apple pieces by themselves to keep them from turning color, keeping them separate from the rest of the salad until just before time to serve. All I had to do then was add them to the body of the salad and then mix the mayo and yogurt together and add to the whole thing, Thus ensuring a fresh salad. It got rave reviews!!! It has a very delightful and surprising twist of flavor compared to the old time favorite.
