This is an excellent side dish which can be prepared ahead of time and kept warm in a crock pot, or prepared "just in time" to serve.

cups wild rice soaked and cooked al dente

pound bacon, chopped, browned and drained

medium onion, chopped

cups celery, chopped

ounces mushrooms, fresh, or canned
1/2
pound butter
  1. Saute onion, celery and mushrooms (if fresh) in a small amount of bacon grease. Add butter, melt and mix into wild rice. Put into serving dish or in crock pot until ready to serve. ENJOY!
