Ingredients

cup crisco shortening
1
cup sugar
1/2
tablespoon butter softened
1 1/2
teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4
cup orange juice
3
eggs
3
cups flour
2
tablespoons baking powder
1/2
teaspoon salt

  • 1 Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Combine sugar, butter and shortening in a bowl and beat until fluffy.
  • 2 Add eggs one at a time beating in between.
  • 3 Add Orange juice and Vanilla extract and beat until well mixed.
  • 4 In separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking powder.
  • 5 Slowly add dry ingredient mixture (flour salt etc.) to the other mixture containing the eggs while beating on a slow speed.
  • 6 when everything is combined roll balls of dough to desired size and bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes
  • 7 Once the cookies are cooled frost them with nutella or make a white frosting with confectioners sugar, water and almond extract. The white frosting shouldn't be too runny it should heavily coat the back of a spoon your cookies. while wet sprinkle colored sugar if desired.

My family loves these cookies ! the last batch made 66 cookies so it is plenty to go around and very easy.
