I made these for Christmas and I have never heard my husband's family compliment me so much in my 22 years of marriage to him. Everyone LOVED them. I will definitely make them again and not just for Christmas either, they are great for any occassion. Anyone looking for something different, not overly sweet and so easy to make (besides tasting really great)...this is the recipe to try. I will be making them again, no doubt about it.

This recipe was excellent! Although, rather than melting the chips with the shorting for the top I just included all the chips in the recipe. I made these as the dessert for a friend who was out of work from operation - a nice alternative to cookies. I pulled them out of the oven after 21 minutes and they were perfect. The edges were golden but the center was still moist and gooey. The perfect consistency! The flavor is perfect, not too rich.

These turned out pretty good; they were really easy to make. If I were to make it again I would just mix all the nuts and baking chips right into the cookies because the baking chips didn''t melt well on top...but overall I was happy with the results.

I made these bars several times for different parties. They are fabulous!! I have had tons of raves from this recipe. At one party, there was a group of ladies that actually confiscated the plate and wouldn''t let anyone have more then one!! They loved them that much. These bars are so simple to make and are delicious!!

I had to register on the site just so I could rave about this recipe and give my changes. These are very good and moist. I found it didn''t take as long to bake as was listed in the recipe - so watch the oven! Also put all the chips and nuts in the batter instead of some on top - personal preference.

This is a wonderful receipt........For those die-hard chocolate lovers- - -you can add some semi-sweet, "special dark" chips; and do a blend with thedecoration of brown and white. Perhaps, add both macadamian nuts and almonds.I do cherish a totally different variety in my treats. For myself, I would even go as far as adding a different flavor in addition to the vanilla.Thank you for allowing me to share my views and opinions.Happy Treats to everyone.P.S. Let''s not forget about sharing receipts for diabetics!!
