White Chocolate-Cranberry Bars

Ingredients

box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix
1/3
cup butter or margarine, melted
2
Tbsp water
2
eggs
1 1/2
cups dried cranberries
1
cup white vanilla baking chips (6 oz)

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom only and lightly flour 13x9-inch pan, or spray with baking spray with flour.
  • 2 In large bowl, mix cake mix, butter, water and eggs with spoon until dough forms (some dry mix will remain). Stir in cranberries and baking chips. Spread evenly in pan.
  • 3 Bake 22 to 26 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store loosely covered.

Add a festive touch with a white chocolate drizzle. Melt 1/3 cup white vanilla baking chips and 1 1/2 tsp shortening in 1-qt saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted and smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars. Let stand 30 min or until set.

Add 2 teaspoons grated orange peel with cranberries and baking chips.

Delicious and easy! No directions for the drizzle - but simply warm up some more white chocolate chips, put in a zip-loc back, cut the tip and drizzle pretty lines! This is a keeper.

I didn't notice till after I made this, that it's called white chocolate cranberry bars, but the ingredients call for vanilla chips. It was still pretty good, but I better with white chocolate chips it would be even better.

Made this twice already! First bought white cake mix and everyone loved them so tried vanilla cake mix which I already had on hand and they turned out perfect again! So very easy.
