White Chocolate Cherry Crunch

Bite into crunchy white chocolate and cherry drops made using corn Chex® cereal - a tasty dessert.

Ingredients

cups Corn Chex™ cereal

cups tiny fish-shaped pretzels

cups dry-roasted peanuts

cup miniature marshmallows

package (3 ounces) dried cherries ( 2/3 cup)

bag (12 ounces) white baking chips (2 cups)

cup half-and-half
1/2
teaspoon almond extract

  • 1 Toss cereal, pretzels, peanuts, marshmallows and cherries in large bowl.
  • 2 Heat baking chips and half-and-half in 2-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently, until chips are melted. Stir in almond extract.
  • 3 Pour melted mixture over dry ingredients. Toss gently until dry ingredients are coated. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand about 1 hour or until set. Store loosely covered up to 1 week.

Expert Tips

You can use 12 ounces vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped, instead of the white baking chips. Omit half-and-half, and melt coating as directed on package.

Drop mixture into paper candy cups, and let stand until set.
