Whiskey Fizz

This old-school recipe is truly fifties-fabulous. Pull out the cocktail shaker and whip up a batch of this refreshingly lemon-y drink.

Ice cubes

tablespoons whiskey (1 1/2 oz)

tablespoons simple syrup

tablespoon lemon juice

tablespoons lemon-lime carbonated beverage

  • 1 Add ice to cocktail glass. In cocktail shaker with ice, shake whiskey, simple syrup and lemon juice until blended. Pour into glass, straining out ice. Add carbonated beverage. Garnish with lemon wedge.

Expert Tips

Use your choice of lowball or highball glass for this cocktail.

To make simple syrup, heat 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar in a small saucepan to boiling. Boil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
