When I first looked over this recipe, I knew that I would change 2 things. First, I would use a pork butt instead of a rotisserie (store bought) chicken. My husband doesn’t like anything but real pig in his bar-be-que. Second, I would cook everything in the Crockpot. With those 2 changes, I kept everything else the same. I put the pork butt in the Crockpot (uncooked) and added all of the ingredients at once. I let everything cooks in the Crockpot for 4 hours (on low). I have learned from experience that any longer in the Crockpot and it would have been SUPER dry. I pulled the pork butt out of the Crockpot and “pulled it” apart. I added more bar-be-que sauce and put it on the buns. Just in time for dinner!!!! These ‘sliders’ were a BIG hit.
P.S. The alcohol burns off in the Crockpot so you won’t have to worry about that!!!
