Blogger Jennifer Perillo of In Jennie's Kitchen shares a favorite recipe. These fruity cocktails make for easy drinking, so I’ve cut back the alcohol a bit so you can enjoy a few without regret the “morning after.”

Ingredients

Crushed ice
1/4
cup watermelon juice
1/4
cup fresh lime juice
2
tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur
2
tablespoons tequila
4
sprigs fresh cilantro
2
small watermelon wedges
  • 1 Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add remaining ingredients except watermelon wedges. Shake vigorously. Strain mixture into 2 small martini glasses or strain over ice into 2 margarita or rocks glasses. Garnish with watermelon wedge.

Expert Tips

To get watermelon juice, simply puree chunks of watermelon in your blender. Make more than you'll need for this recipe and refrigerate the juice up to 2 days. Pour over ice or mix with lemonade for a fun drink for kids and adults alike.

f you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use a pitcher and stir the mixture well.

For an authentic touch, salt the rims of the glasses. Rub the rims with a lime wedge and then dip in coarse salt.
