June 13, 2011
cup watermelon juice
cup fresh lime juice
tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur
sprigs fresh cilantro
small watermelon wedges
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add remaining ingredients except watermelon wedges. Shake vigorously. Strain mixture into 2 small martini glasses or strain over ice into 2 margarita or rocks glasses. Garnish with watermelon wedge.
To get watermelon juice, simply puree chunks of watermelon in your blender. Make more than you'll need for this recipe and refrigerate the juice up to 2 days. Pour over ice or mix with lemonade for a fun drink for kids and adults alike.
f you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use a pitcher and stir the mixture well.
For an authentic touch, salt the rims of the glasses. Rub the rims with a lime wedge and then dip in coarse salt.
