EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Using reduced-fat or fat-free mayonnaise keeps calories and fat grams low.

Take this salad to the Tropics! Replace one apple and the lemon juice with one 8-ounce can of pineapple chunks in juice (save 1 tablespoon of juice), and sprinkle each serving with toasted coconut.

This was the first time I made Waldorf Salad. Took it to Mom's for Thanksgiving and it was a great hit. Added grapes, it was delicious. Next time will add cranberries as well. Easy, fast, and sooo good.

I made this one along with the "winter fruit" waldorf salad. My family loved them both. They both are very different but have their place and time when they perfactly compliment the dinner or party. This one here works for any occation.

Made this for Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws and used Miracle Whip and raisins. Everyone said it was just like what their grandmother used to make. I didn't care for it much, but that's because I don't much care for mayonnaise or salad dressing. My husband suggested I try grapes instead of the raisins next time. And there WILL be a next time!
