EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Hollow out round dinner rolls and fill with this flavor-rich salad for the ultimate in taste and texture contrast. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a pretty presentation.

Two ingredients become one when you use fat-free lemon yogurt instead of the plain yogurt and lemon juice.

We love this recipe. We like more sauce, so I double that. I also add about an ounce of dried cranberries. I use one Granny Smith apple and one other kind of sweet apple that's in season. I usually keep some in the fridge and my daughter complains loudly if she wants some and we happen to be out!

I make this every Thanksgiving!! I have never tried to use yogurt to make it however. I make it with a pinch of splenda mixed with the lemon juice and fat free cool whip. I also use Granny Smith apples because I prefer them to red. Tastes great and lasts for around 3 days in the fridge.
