  1. FOR VANILLA CUPCAKES. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Whisk together the flour ,baking soda,and salt in a medium bowl. Combine the milk,oil,and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
  3. In another medium bowl,with an electric mixer on medium speed,beat the butter and sugar for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs,one at a time,beating well after each addition. Reduce the speed to low and add the flour mixture alternately with the milk mixture in batches,beginning and ending with the flour mixture and beating just until blended.
  5. Pour the batter up to two-thirds full in the liner. Repeat with the remaining batter. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.Remove cupcakes and place them on a wire rack. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
  6. VANILLA FROSTING Melt butter in microwave for 60 seconds
  7. Mix butter,sugar,and milk together in a medium bowl. Add vanilla
  8. Add food coloring if desired. Put in fridge for an hour or two.
