Everyone wants to have a few great brunch recipes that can be made ahead of time. This is one of them. The flavor of this French toast? Think Bananas Foster—minus the rum.

I made half recipe for 4 of us for Easter breakfast and it is really good - VERY rich!! Pretty simple to make. I used an 8x8 baking dish. I bought the bread at TJ's and it was already thick sliced so I only used one layer. Next time I would layer the bananas on the bottom and top with the brown sugar mixture. It would be nice with whipped cream:) on top!

This was definitely a delicious recipe. I followed it exactly and thought it turned out great. I do recommend using a thicker sliced bread - my bread was a bit thin to soak up all of the banana topping.

This is my go to for breakfast gatherings! Everyone loves it and people always ask for the recipe. I am part of a breakfast club at work and I have made this with bananas and without, both versions are delicious. Also, I generally make two pans, one with nuts and one without. When I'm taking this to a larger gathering I cut the bread into cubes instead of just laying out the slices. I feel like it goes farther since people aren't just automatically taking a full slice.

I made this for our Easter Brunch and everyone RAAAVVED about it. The highlight of our gathering! Easy to prepare. I added more french toast batter the next morning before I baked it and it came out beautiful. Just added 2 eggs, 1/4 c. milk and tsp. vanilla and poured ontop.
