I really do not like to see recipes that use a prepackaged mix - just when you put the recipe in your "line-up" the company discontinues the product. I used to make a wonderful cookie with a lime bar mix but that is no longer produced. Now it is just a fading memory....

Just a quick comment - Betty Crocker DOES still make the cookie mix (Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix) used in this cookie recipe. It was actually one of the cookie mixes that qualified for the latest Mix It Up With Betty Contest which will be up for voting at the end of this month. Also, these cookies also need to be refrigerated when not being served - that would cause the frosting/cool whip combination to go flat if you failed to do this. I hope you give them another try! (o;

This was very popular with my family! I decided to see how it would taste with peanut-butter chip cookies instead of the chocolate chip. We all agreed it was much better than the original. So if you like peanut butter chip cookies make it with Betty Crocker the same way.

These were absolutely amazing. If you mix it by hand, you will have to knead the dough together to get it to blend thoroughly. In the frosting I substituted 1 tbs. of instant coffee for the liqueur. For extra decoration, I added a dollop of cool whip on top of the frosting, then added the coffee bean. It is a great recipe and really simple, any coffee lover will go crazy for these!

This recipe was great! I hosted a bible study with a few of my friends and served these. We enjoyed some finger sandwiches and coffee along with this. My only suggestion is to go easy on the coffee flavor if you will be serving it along with coffee. If not- go crazy. YUM!

Absolutley Delicious...One I would make again. Something that is not your typical dessert, easily impressing anyone...or simple and tasty enough to eat all by yourself.
